The client required a minimum flow of 220 l/s from the lake to the discharge point, about 4kms away through a 400mm dia HDPE Pipeline. They tried out several contractors to achieve the desired results but were not successful. Finally, the client contacted one of the top dewatering companies in UAE; Gulf Sands, and since they were skeptical of the pump’s performance, they only issued an LPO for 3 months.

Gulf Sands used their smallest Cornell Pump UAE, model 6NH which had a 10” suction port and a 6” discharge port.

The Cornell Pump UAE delivered almost 230 l/s and the fuel consumption was as low as 30-35 L/H.

As one of the top dewatering companies in UAE; the client was extremely satisfied with the performance, and reissued the subsequent Local Purchase Orders. The pump eventually ran at the site for 14 months, leaving a very satisfied client.
