Project overview
The scope of supply involved an electric driven Slurry pump for sale, discharge piping and hoses, a Redi-prime Cornell pump, and a mixing tank. The requirement was filling of several Geotubes placed along the shore as part of the shoreline protection for a section of Saadiyat beach.
Sieved sand was deposited by a showel at regular intervals into the Mixing Tank, while there was a steady flow of seawater into that tank by using the Cornell Pump. The 45 kW submersible Slurry pump for sale was installed inside the Mixing Tank, to agitate the sand and water, and then pump the resultant slurry into the Geotubes through a combination of flexible wire-armored hoses and HDPE pipes.
Due to the efficiency of the pump, and the thorough knowledge and experience of such works, the client was able to achieve their daily target of filling at least 2 Geotubes in one day. This resulted in a more work with the same client, for other projects.
